Started strong-ended, well.....

Friday, July 22, 2011

I started out for my walk this morning, and when I rounded the corner, I saw my daughter riding her bike over to my place. Last night would have been her father's 58th birthday (sheis 36) and her and her brother had a few drinks in remembrance of him. Well, she woke up for work this morning, hung over, with no keys and no phone. She asked to use my phone and found out her husband went to work with her keys. I drove her home and she found her phone but by then was late for work, and I had things I had to do, so it was too late to walk.
My granddaughter and I stopped at Mc Donalds for breakfast, then did a bunch of errands and didn't get back until 2 pm. So, by then it was hot-way hot! So I took a nap.
I may get in a walk right before dark, but then again....I might just consider this a day of rest from exercise, and I will try to eat better for dinner than I did for breakfast. lol

We all have one of those days at sometime or the other. Thats just life ... always find away to get between us and our goals! I am happy that you are not beating yourself up over this nor allowing it to derail your program. Just continue to keep your focus on your goals one day at a time. You can do it!

OK...there is something in the air. After reading your blog and MELLIL and MTULLY's comments, I don't feel so bad. Friday should have been a Spark Mandatory Nap Day!
You should not feel so bad either...Nap Days are great. And today will be better!

emoticon It's only one day and we all have days like that every now and again. Just don't let it derail you the rest of the week coming up. I know you can do it! emoticon

What is it with today? I have had a great week, but I just couldn't keep it together today either and I absolutely have no excuses. I am with you, though, and pledge to make tomorrow a better day! I will keep telling myself it is all about progress, not perfection.

LOL! Ohhhh dear! I drink a glass of wine every now and then... (well okay - about twice a year!)... but my kids used to be drinkers. ONE of them still is. Two have quit and quit for good! (I'm really PROUD of them -- they got tired of hangovers! I did the same thing when I was just about their ages... just QUIT!) I'm thinking that if that had happened to one of my kids I would have been sO tempted to say "SEE what HAPPENS when you drink!?!" LOL! (I still DO say that when my one son comes over with a hangover! But he's still young -- only 21! He'll figure it out one day too!)

I didn't have a very good eating day today either... I started out REAL good - with steel cut oats and banana with peanut butter. It went down hill from there! I'm sure I'll still have a loss this week - so I'm okay with it!
