Canning time, kitty woes, etc.

--I put it off long enough. I need to can some tomatoes--the little that there is since we have been under severe drought. You can't water enough to keep this sandy soil from drying up in the upper-90-degree temperatures we's been having.
--My cat Charlie is still not eating and now one of my other cats, Seven, (also about 16 years old has been throwing up) and my 9-year-old female Lucy has a squishy lumb on her rear. Ugh! Luckily, the 3-year-old, Rastus, is not showing any problems.
--This is not helping my weight loss and neither is my back pain. I think my back has healed enough to start doing some Mayo Clinic back exercises. I think I am doing okay on my diet, though. I did have a potato chip binge on the 20th, (cat stress) and it's really a bad thing for me to do and I knew it and I still couldn't stop myself. BUT-I've gotten back onto eating right.
--I may try to take back my garde from the weeds this weekend. It's rather large and when my back goes out, the weeds come in...
