Tennis Analogy..

I once heard Dr. Laura use a tennis anology for continuing to make bad choices. It went like this: Once the ball leaves your racket, all you can do is prepare for what life hits back to you. Work on making every hit count, but if your swing is off move on! That ball's comming back at you and giving you a chance to redeem yourself.
Even in a friendly tennis game, you wouldn't throw down your racket and walk away the first time you hit the net. You pick up the ball and keep playing. You work towards that goal of back and forth, back and forth.. taking every ball life throws at you and bouncing it back.
When you over eat, or miss a running day, or your sister talks you into getting pizza "for the kids", it's like that tennis ball going in the wrong place. You're not ruined. The game isn't over. Pick up that ball and serve!
