Lessons learned from Insanity...Day 2

Tuesday, July 19, 2011

Lesson number 1: first of all, when I think of Insanity--I think, "was I insane to think I could do this?" So, I have heard other people say this, but the warm up was harder than any other video I've done before--the WARM UP! I wanted to stop after the first round of warm up exercises, but there was like 2-3 more...I lost count!

Lesson number 2: I am just starting so I don't need to go as hard as they do...I can build up my stamina. The fit people in the video were struggling at times, so it is "ok" if I do! I think today I went too hard during the warm up--I can do all the exercises, but take it down a notch!

Lesson number 3: Basketball drills suck! I feel sorry for basketball players!

Lesson number 4: Get a towel, I have never sweat as much in my life! Not even after running 4 miles in 87 degree heat!

Lesson number 5: Don't drink coffee before insanity....even 3 hours before...gross!

So yeah...I would like to say I hate insanity...but I love it...kinda...

On to nutrition...I stayed in range yesterday, but barely I was starving! I feel like I could do insanity and lose weight even if I ate buffet meals all day every day! I won't but geesh! Today is supposed to be my "off day" b/c it is my husbands Friday so we generally go out to lunch and have a drink or two by the pool. I ate a great breakfast and have a healthy dinner planned, but right now I don't feel like eating bad AT ALL! It is great motivation!

All the people I know who have finished p90 and insanity talk about being starving all the time. Glad to hear you like it in a hateful kind of way :)

I love those love/hate relationships with exercise tapes. It means it's a good exercise plan!
