"A picture of something that has made a huge impact on your life recently."

Hmm, recently would be the last eight years - and the first thing was the reason for the other happening...

It was in the beginning of august 2003 that I found that lump in my left breast and horror struck. The breast was removed before september and since they found some cancer cells in the lymphatic vessels in my armpits I started chemo in september. Hubby got crazy and dumped me, leaving me sort of broken and as I was selfemployed without good insurance my economy was going downwards fast. Those were really horrible years, fighting depression, poverty and panic of cancer returning...

2009 I moved back to where I lived before meeting the father of my child. I did not know that the action would cost me the everyday life with my daughter - the ex sued me and won since I was the one moving ( cursed my own work for gender equality there for a while ;-)) but knew that moving back would probably kill me so instead the other huge change took place:

My newspapers logo - me getting employed for the first time in 26 years... realizing that I could not handle a company if I was going to survive the chrisis with losing my daughter and the threat of relapse in cancer hanging over me....

So - my life has changed completely in a way I could not imagine ten years ago. I have learned a lot and I still fight depression - not because of circumstances with daughter, cancer or job but because of age coming creeping and my energy is not the same anymore.

I would like to post a picture like...

(18. Patty Anderson
Age: 55 years
Starting weight: 110 kg
Current weight: 77 kg
Lost: 33 kg, 30.04%)

but that has not happened in my life - yet!

MeddyPeddy, girl, if our bodies could only show the warrior stuff on the OUTSIDE then you could already post a pic of yourself showing your victories! You have done some serious battle, and should be extremely proud of your strength. None of this has taken you, you know what I mean? I mean you are still standing, fighting, and inspiring people like me.

You are amazing, don't let anyone tell you differently (not even yourself!)
