Ah how I love Sundays, especially in the mornings.

Today in addition to those household tasks I like to get done - changing the bed sheets, finishing off the laundry, puttering around the house as needed, I have to let my friend's dogs out and feed them. Poor old Chow is quite elderly, can walk with difficulty and is so sweet. Her younger companion is jumping and ready to run out the door whenever I arrive - with my dog, who is a favorite playmate. It really makes me grateful for my health and (relative) youth when I see Chow and how hard it is for her. Yet she perseveres and seems happy to see us each visit.

So again I am content and willing to look at my "problems" as what they really are, opportunities to learn and grown and hopefully advance my spiritual understanding of this life.

Fitness plays an important part in all of this for me. I work out for the mental health benefits first of all, the endorphins that I feel after a good workout are so important to me. And of course the weight loss or maintenance is a great side benefit.
