Hey Ho, Officially Back In The Saddle!

Saturday, July 16, 2011

I work at a community college for the district (both colleges) but am physically located at one of them (not at the district offices). So officially my campus is closed in summer on Friday's to college employees. A few of us district employees are on campus Fridays, it's pretty deserted tho. Since the pool is closed, no workout for me on Friday, insert sad face here.
Seeing as the title says I'm back, I wrangled up the gumption to head out to the 24 Fitness after work. The pool was open, u never know. In fact, they had remodeled. Now since I live in CA I am used to outdoor pools year-round, but this is a 20 yard, low-ceiling, burn your eyes the air is so chlorinated, dark cave-like nightmare (more importantly it's a pool tho). Can you tell swimming here is my last resort? I was able to swim on a day I haven't been exercising. Yay me!

I swam a mile, even tho my left shoulder has gotten worse after the PT, not better.

I AM STARTING TO SEE THE OLD ME! Peeking out the back of the covered wagon guardedly seeing that healthy living life coming back into focus.

Putting this, my commitments, out here. Just for a week at a time, I'm committing to tracking all my food. Not quite a commitment yet, but I am aiming for 6x a week exercise of at least 45 min.

Today's exercise will be my new, duh, no-brainer, Laughing Yoga. 1minute of hearty laughing = 10 minutes of rowing. How can you not want to do this? Duh. Now that I'm a certified leader, WOOT!
Have a great week-end and if you want, picture me ROTFL today at 1pm PST getting my exercising done! Really close to being back in the saddle, again.

Glad you are doing so well. Going to the gym, when it was the last thing in the world you really wanted to do is inspiring! Building on the steps you know work for you at a pace which is not overwhelming will get you where you want to be. Your accountability is also a great tool.
Best wishes as you continue working towards your goals. emoticon emoticon
