It Worked!

Friday, July 15, 2011

Giving myself a day off yesterday was not the end of the world!

I was both pleased, and relieved, that I am back on track today. I was such a slug yesterday and was concerned I might not get going today. Although I slept in late, I went swimming later with my son, as per usual. I feel great and am looking forward to tomorrow. (weigh-in day)

I know this all seems so simplistic. It is all these baby steps that are leading up to this new life I am trying to live. I am eight months into these changes, but I have fifty-plus years of living poorly, to change!

Change comes slowly. In the past, when change came quickly, I quit within weeks of starting. This slower stuff seems to be the ticket, for real! :)

Good news!! Reassuring to know we won't go back to square one over just one day off. I agree and all studies show the slower wt loss stays around. I guess the whole process makes it gel?? Whatever reason, I understand your fear of not wanting to undo all the hard work!! Thanks for sharing your tho'ts & day's experience! Brenda
