I have to admit that today definitely started in a mid-week slump. I'm happy to say though, that it ended on a strong note with 190 minutes of cardio. I dislike that the majority of my cardio minutes this past week seem to have come from playing Wii Sports. It does seem to be getting me through this plateau some though so I'm going to do whatever is necessary. :) My TOM came right on time, which makes me a little more willing to accept the slight gain on the scale this morning. We have no plans for tomorrow other than to relax - we have storms moving through again and we really need the rain. It has made for a night lightening show tonight and will hopefully mean that I'll get a good night's rest. It has made it a pain with my left knee today... oh well. Such is life!
Only 4 weeks left of Summer Vacation. Daisha and I took an excursion to Wal-Mart to get her school supplies. This is my favorite time of year - I absolutely love school supply shopping and always have. I use the cheap prices to stock up on everything for my desk that I'll use throughout the year, plus a few extras like crayons for arts & crafts time with the kids or just a rainy day. We also picked her up a new pair of tennis shoes, some socks, and a funky backpack. She is so excited to start 2nd grade! I'm just glad I have a kid who likes school as much as I did. Even in high school I never totally dreaded going to school (and I wasn't a popular kid)... Maybe I'll be lucky enough to have 2 kids who like school. If not, I'll settle for one. :)
The weekend is almost here and it's going to be a fun one. We have the pool party for our apartment complex on Saturday afternoon followed by the birthday party for all 4 of my friend Amanda's kids. The do one party since all 4 birthdays fall within a 5-week time period. They're doing a cookout so hopefully I can load up on some veggies rather than the burgers and hotdogs. I'll make it work either way. Sunday will likely be spent recovering from all of Saturday's fun but I'm not going to let it prevent me from exercising. I felt like such a bum yesterday for only getting 20 minutes in. I had to listen to my body and give it somewhat of a break though.
So what is everyone else up to this weekend?
