6 weeks in - Summer Challenge Recap....

I can't believe we are six weeks into our Summer Slimdown Challenge on the Challenges for Sparkers with Lots to Lose. Time is going by so fast.

I am feeling pretty good so far about the Challenge. It is the right combination of exercise, diet and nutrition (I think diet and nutrition are different for me with this.) - I have never really been mindful of my intake of certain vitamins and minerals, and this challenge is making me think about that.

I owe myself a pedicure at this point, as I met the goal I set for myself way back in week 1....just need to find the time, and grow some toe nails....it was something I should have thought of before naming that my reward.....I cut them short when I run a lot.....helps keep the toes from getting sore...LOL.

I have tracked everything I've eaten, and had some bad days....and some really good days. I am exercising a lot, and seem to be heading in the right direction on the scale. I was all the way up to 165 during my 2 month rebellion, and right now it is saying 153...so I will take it....I would love to finish July with the scale saying 140 something or other....149 is PERFECT.....

Kicking the Diet Soda habit has been going pretty good too. Most days I am down to 2 only (from more than 6) - I'm almost ready to take it to the next level of 1 only....not quite yet though.

Challenges are what fuels me...I don't want to let the team down, and I don't want to be a failure.....they just keep me going....

So far....so good....here's to 6 more GREAT weeks.

    Sounds like you are doing a great job with that challenge! I know how hard a soda addition can be... I am working on my own right now. Keep up the good work!! The next 6 weeks will be over before you know it.

    You are doing an emoticon job on your summer Slimdown goals! I really need to review mine because I can only remember what 1 or 2 of them are! LOL

    Love this blog!! You've done great and I totally agree that this challenge has made me aware as well of nutrients I don't seem to get!
    Trying to keep track and post all the weekly challenges!! 6 weeks into this is amazing to me!! Keep up the great work!!
