Summer, The Season Of...

BBQ's with too much food, ice cream, chip trucks, drive-in movies with snacks... Unbearable heat - meaning not wanting to cook nevermind exercise, and super busy schedules between work, 4 leagues of baseball, and general good weather enjoyment... OH! And here's a new one for me, apparently I have allergies! I've been feeling waayy under the weather lately - thought maybe it was stress, over-scheduled... But I tried some allergy meds after talking with my mom and I felt SO much better! The relief. I had NO IDEA just how lousy I was feeling until I was feeling better - the congestion in my face, and ears - gone! And the itch in my ear, the sore throat... UGH! I feel good.

I've been on a prolonged 'break' from all the healthy habits I set up at the beginning of this year. Well, not entirely from all healthy habits, but I have been making choices that aren't great. Good news is that I have only gained back a couple of pounds - weighed in this morning at 202. But any pound up, is a pound in the wrong direction. Bad news is that in gaining, I've also not lost... So I've lost out on time in meeting my goals for December. I'm going to have to review and tweak if necessary. I am going to work on making better food choices, but I'm going to be entirely honest and say I HATE EXERCISING IN THIS HEAT! It's so humid, and gross. The only room we have a/c in is our bedroom so that I can sleep. I'm going to have to figure something out - swimming frequently or something. I don't know.

I've missed being on Spark, and keeping up with my friends. I'm sorry guys for falling off for a little while. I hope to reconnect with each of you though and I hope everyone is enjoying their summer!

    Missed you too, sweetie. Glad you're coming back on. Me too... it feels crummy to be making the same poor choices day after day. I've got a coupla lbs to "re-shed", too.

    With moving and all (see my blog), I don't anticipate much time for exercise over the next few weeks. So I plan on tackling the weight with making better choices in foods and trying to add some oomph to my regular daily activities.
