Today I officially started the Spark healthy lifestyle program. I find I am most excited not about releasing weight but about being healthier and more confident.

I really don't like tracking nutrition. I ate 3 strawberries while working in the yard this morning. Don't they cancel each other out? I'm kidding. I find it very time consuming but I imagine it will become easier and faster when I get used to it and more of "my" foods have been entered.

One of the things holding me back has been exercise. Because of my MS it is very easy to get on the floor but very difficult to get back off of it. I did notice the last time I fell it was a little easier to get up so I continue to do leg strengthening exercises. I used to love the 4 mile walks I took with my husband and daughter on summer mornings. I really miss it, but with my feet I can't do much walking for exercise anymore. I know losing weight will make it easier but it will not help my bunion, my hammertoes, my tarsal tunnel problems. Three podiatrists have told me I will have to live with it. I do. I will find something else I love.

I titled this blog Woo Hoo and then I read that I have mostly complained. I am excited, I will be successful, and I know this site will help me in many ways. I am ready.
