Assignment #3 for Summer 5% Challenge

We've been given a different assignment every day in preparation for the start of the Summer 5% Challenge. Assignment #3 is to list all the reasons you want to lose weight. What do you want to change? How do you want to look? How do you want to feel? What things will you be able to do in the future with a slimmer healthier body? And list all the OTHER things that you want to change!

My main focus continues to be getting into really great shape. This will include working out hard (I'll be restarting the 5K Your Way Program next Saturday to dovetail with this Challenge since they're both 8 weeks.) I want to look very fit, not at all flabby. I want to have a lot of stamina so I can do many physical tasks with ease. All of this will include losing weight so that the muscles under the fat can be revealed but I'm not concerned with a particular weight. I'll know it when I get there as long as I'm fit (and I know I still have around 15 lbs to go at least.) I want to be strong and slim and healthy. I want my BMI to be in the healthy range.

The other thing I want to change is to find a better way to cope with feeling unsatisfied after eating. This has lead several times to eating way too much causing me to re-gain some weight. I've found many good recipes that I'll be cooking each week and am keeping the fridge stocked with lots of fruits & veggies.

I know that is vital to have a written record to remind yourself of your goals and motives. During the 56 days of this challenge it will keep me going when I need a reminder of why I'm doing this.

This Challenge has come at a perfect time for me. After 6 months on SP, I'm ready for some new challenges and especially, accountability. Having to work with a team is going to be just what I need.
