The Spark

I just bought "The Spark". What an amazing book. I find myself reading a section, then going back and rereading it. I have had so many ahaa moments reading this. It will become a close companion while I am on this journey. This is going to be a very warm weekend, so I am checking out recipes that will be filling but just not alot of calories. I am finding I have enjoyed more salads, but not the usual lettuce, tomato and such. I like raw spinach rather than lettuce. Funny, I guess the truth is you are NEVER too old to learn something if you stay open to the opportunities around you. Everyone have a great weekend. Peg

    I agree. We all know the program as laid out on this website. But the book gives so much background on how it came to be, the people, motivation...all kinds of good information. I was really glad i got it, too...not to mention a huge amount of sparkpoints for buying it, and as you read each chapter. Quite a deal!

    Peg, I'm glad you said that about the book. Like Lise, I figured there wasn't much new for me in it, but I've seen where others say the same thing as you--that it is great and a must-read. I'll order it, too. Jeannie

    It is a wonderful book and a must read for all to completely understand the program--and it is so motivating!! I've almost re-read it twice and sometime soon I will re-read it again as every time I read it I learn something new that I missed. I also agree about the healthy and low calorie benefits of eating salads especially spinach ones--who who of thought it--LOL!!

    I felt the same way as I read The Spark and am really thinking of re-reading it. I think I need a refresher! I agree with you on the salads...give me some romaine, spring mix or spinach over iceberg any day!!
