The bedroom floor

is about as clean as it's ever going to get. The only floor that still needs mopping is the living room floor, but even the kitchen and hallway floors are now done. The counter tops and the stove in the kitchen are still a war zone, but the overall look of the place is definitely improving. There was no end to the praise I was getting from both mine and my son's psychiatric nurses. Also the bed spread is making a difference in how my bedroom is looking and it really makes a difference in how my bed feels. I had no idea that good linen could make such a difference.
Unfortunately it seems that using the lamp does have a drawback. I'm not sure if there's a connection, but it seems that I am more sensitive to headaches when I use the lamp. Maybe it's because I use more energy (carbs) when I'm more active which could cause my body to have more difficulty in keeping my blood sugar level. I'm pretty sure now that those headaches are caused by my blood sugar plummeting.
I found out yesterday that they put in my son's file that he needs round the clock care. That is probably the reason he has been turned down everywhere. I turns out that his psychiatric nurse thought that all 'protected housing' places offered round the clock care. This is not the case. He will now call the case worker to see what next. to be continued...
