I agree, this was a very sad case. The mom was obviously guilty of something, and the prosecution obviously didn't present the case well enough to get a conviction. So the mom got away with murder and there's no justice for this little girl. Hopefully this lady won't have any more children -- she proved all too well how much she lies and she cannot be trusted.

I was shocked that the jury acquitted, but I sat on a capital murder trial jury before, and I know it is not easy. We had contoversary in our trial because we found the defendant guilty but did not give him the death penalty. We had a lot of hateful feedback and threats! Who knows what was going on in the minds of the jury. I was told by someone after our trial.. "You made the right decision because it was your decision to make"! So for whatever reason the jury decided to find the mother not guilty...ultimately it was their decision to make!

My prayers go out to baby Caylee!

I was stunned and have heard more about it. The defense always go for "without a doubt" and that is how the jury changed.

I was disgusted by the entire thing, the entire family is so sick and probably love it that they got off.

I felt as shocked as I was when I watched the O.J. verdict being handed down. I have tried putting myself in the jurors' places. I'm not sure I could have rendered an impartial verdict, based solely on evidence and not on emotion, not if it meant letting Casey Anthony go free. Someone killed this child and threw her poor little body away in a black trash bag. And that someone is probably going to walk tomorrow. I don't understand. Everybody said there was no DNA of Casey's on anything having to do with the remains. Since when do we need DNA to prove guilt? Verdicts were handed down for decades without it. Oh, I'm just too furious and too upset and too sad about this whole thing. Even worse (if that is possible)? The defense team partying with champagne in the bar across the street from the courthouse. What is wrong with some people? It's time to stay away from HLN and the news media for awhile....

God rest Caylee's precious, innocent soul. She is in His loving arms and in His loving home now.

I believe as the news said...she will live in a prison of her own making for life. It will die down, but forever people will look at her as the woman that if she did not kill her child,,did not care enough to report her missing for 30 days.!!
I cannot judge it is not my right, plus I believe the Word says, by what measure you judge thus shall you be judged. without all the information the jury had none of us can make a informed decision.
Tis sad that one so innocent was not protected from harm.

While we can certainly base our understanding of the case on open access to a number of pertinent details, the jury was selected and sequestered largely based on their ability to render an unbiased verdict; and they did not have the same information available to them that we have had.

Similarly, they are very likely aware of factors that we are not.

Do *I* think she was guilty? Absolutely. Do I think that the jurors made this decision lightly or without consideration of the consequences to Caylee? Of course not.

This poor child can not suffer anymore. She is safely ensconced in the Lord's arms. As for her mother, God knows the entire truth, and when it is Casey's turn, she'll end up where she truly belongs. Whether that is heaven or hell, only God can say.

It is definitely a sad day. I just keep thinking of that poor little girl and what her mom did to her. How could she just throw her out like trash??? It just doesn't make sense.

The jury could only work with what they had and the prosecutors did not bring in the evidence to find the mom guilty--- I believe she killed that poor baby but I am not going to hold it against the jurors.

God knows who did it and they will never escape real punishment.

    Sad sad day!

I don't understand how anyone who claims their baby died in the family pool would not call 911. I have to leave this at the feet of Jesus because I can't deal with it. We all need to pray for that poor baby, that they will find some justice for her. In the meantime, I know in my heart that she is sleeping in Jesus. emoticon

She is safe in God's arms. In spite of that jury, "Vengence is mine saith the Lord." The evil doer will be punished, if not now befinitely on Judgement Day.
