Resetting my spark program?

Monday, July 04, 2011

I'm thinking about resetting my whole program and starting over. I have been here since 10/10 and haven't really seen any results that stay with me. My fitness level has increased a lot, because now I can walk 2 miles at one time, where when I started, I couldn't walk a half a mile. I just need to get remotivated and back in the game! Has anyone ever reset their program, and what all is reset? It says everything except your favorites and I think spark teams, I'm not sure now?? I would really like to start over with a whole new name, because I live up to the name I have now--snoozy suzy--and I want to be energetic not sleeping all the time! If I change my name though, I don't want to lose any of my spark friends! I guess I could try an email everyone individually and tell them of the name change-I haven't even thought of a new name yet anyways. Any suggestions or advice will be appreciated::)
Happy 4th of July!

I don't know anything about starting over....but sometimes if you just change what you're doing (like exercises), that makes a big difference.
    Good luck with it.

Don't lose all the hard work you have already put into spark. Just reset your goals and weight.

You are such a motivation to so many people. We would miss you if we couldn't find you anymore.

I know you can change your name without "resetting" anything. When you do a reset you lose all of your settings -- and all of your spark points. I think you lose all of your goodies and stuff too - but I'm not sure about that! But if you just want to change your name, you can go to account preferences, and in the top box just type in your new name and submit or save changes. It changes it immediately EVERYWHERE in SP... Then you can set about changing the look of your page --- BUT - it's best to keep your same profile pic for a few days until people figure out that your picture has a new name! And you may want to post a blog that says you have changed your name! We have had others on the team change their names so I know how that one works! But one gal found it to be a nightmare when she changed both her name AND her profile pic at the same time! It doesn't really matter which you change first... pic or name... but just do one first and then wait a few days and do the other.

Like you, I felt that I wasn't as far along as I wanted to be. So I changed my weight loss goals & my target date to get me started in a new direction. I thought about a "new" name, but decided against it for my son's sake. Before he passed last year, I made a promise that I intend to keep, so I refuse to hide behind a new name. As soon as the doctor releases me for exercise (had foot surgery), I am anxious to start my walking program.

Hang tough, you can do this...

I don't know what "reset" all entails, but you can start your program over without changing everything else (or losing points). If you go to your start page, under what I think is called "My Programs," you'll see "SparkDiet - You are in Stage X." If you click on that and then look to the right of the new page that comes up, you'll see (in red underlined) "Change Stage;" click on it and you can choose to go to the very beginning if you wish. Hope that helps...would hate to lose you as a SparkFriend in the mix.
