Ten more to Go!!

Monday, July 04, 2011

So my goal was to be down to 145 for my brother's wedding but that was not to be! I still felt great and was totally comfortable with where I was at the wedding. The last few weeks have been going really good, I ran my first 5 K and almost made it under 40 minutes, I have continued to lose weight, and my energy is pretty good. My energy would probably be even better if I was not on meds that make me tired! I saw a surgeon on June 24th and she has agreed to do surgery on my wrist, finally some one who is willing to do something. Only problem with that is she is going on maternity leave September to January so my surgery will not be until some time in January or February, which I guess I can deal with, at least an end is hopefully in sight! I will see my doctor in the next month or so and see about staying on the current meds until the surgery or if I will need to change things up as it will be a longer course then we had originally hoped for. My DD is having oral surgery tomorrow morning so I am not looking forward to that and neither is she! In fact, she still will not talk about it. The best thing is when I weighed in last week I was done to 155.2, which leaves me with 10 more to go. I am pretty happy with that. Even though things are taking me much longer this time around I really think that I will be able to keep it off this time as I am working everything into my everyday life so I will be able to keep it up! I tried on a dress yesterday that I had bought the summer I had lost the weight previously, about 3 years ago, and it zipped! It looked pretty good too and was comfortable, until I sat down, then it was still a little tight and hard to breath in. I am hopeful that a few more pounds and it'll be good to go, hopefully in time for the wedding we have to go to in August.

Happy Summer Sparking everyone emoticon
