Here's My Joy List. What's Yours?

What brings me joy?

1. Seeing a new day dawn
2. Hearing my son say good morning or I love you
3. Watching new roses bloom from my bedroom window
4. Saying Hello or Good Morning to someone new
5. Having my family and good friends in my everyday life even if we chat through the walls of Facebook.

As I reread my joy list, I notice that material items, vacation trips or landing a new job didn't even cross my mind. Nor did the high from completing 60-90 minutes of exercise make the list either. After a high school friend's outgoing 24 year old son passed unexpectedly from leukemia two days ago did it hit me. She lost someone who brought her joy. I need to appreciate what brings me joy every day. So I took a moment to jot the joys down today.

What's your joy list?
