The other day my mentor asked me whether I was using the daylight lamp during summer as well. Well, I wasn't. The last couple of days it has been unusually sunny. My mood improved significantly, making me realize that even during summer you can be effected by lack of sunlight, especially if you live around the 52nd north parallel. In comparison: The southern tip of the Alaska panhandle is at the 54th parallel, Toronto at the 45th and New York at the 43rd. I have been using the lamp again for a few days and it really does seem to make a difference.
Also a couple of days ago I went to the shop to get some bed linen. I thought that the pack I bought had 2 casings for my 'blanket', but it turns out it was one full set with bottom sheet. At almost 50 bucks that was a little over my budget. Once I had it on the bed though, I was really happy with it. The sales lady was right when she said that the quality was really good, and now I'm thinking of getting 2 more. I deserve sleeping in a nice bed. And the fact that my bed now tells me: "I love you", can only be considered a bonus. I'll just chalk it up as a late birthday present to myself.
