Book Reviews!

Wednesday, June 29, 2011

For the past 2 nights I have been taking it easy in the exercise department because the first week of Insanity was already giving me shin splints. Ouch! So what better to do than to use that time sitting on the front porch, enjoying the fresh air and read!

I have read 3 books in the past three days (I read super fast), so I thought I would let you know how they were!

My Horizontal Life - I absolutely LOVE Chelsea Handler. Her books have me laughing for hours. This book was mostly about sex and 1 night stands, but the ways she tells a story is amazing. On a side note, my husband came over to me last night and said, "I was reading that sex book you bought... that stuff in there can't be real... right?" HAHA. He picked it up and started reading it before bed the other night.

Water for Elephants - I could not put this book down - It was amazing. I haven't seen the movie yet, but now I really want to. I can't imagine that the movie will do it justice, but you never know. I absolutely loved this book.

Something Borrowed - This was a good book. There were a few sections where it was a little slow moving. I didn't see this movie yet, but I imagine that the movie version is probably better for this type of story. This is a series, so I am going to Target today to get the next one.

I would definately recommend any of these books... the first one if you want to laugh and the other two if you like a love story.

My shins feel better today... guess it's back to the real world!
