Slowing down a bit...

After the initial boost from my time in the hospital, my weight loss seems to have slowed a bit. Part of that is because I'm tracking carefully and making sure that I'm eating reasonably close to my calorie goals. I had always thought these were artificially high, but the numbers would indicate that they aren't. I'm usually coming in a couple hundred calories shy of the minimum numbers to just over the minimum and I'm losing weight faster than the goal line at present.

In a couple of weeks I intend to be celebrating getting well out of the 300's and into the 200+'s where I've spent my entire adult life (although not on the end of the 200's where I intend to stay). I feel energized and well-rested. Even if I wasn't losing weight, I'd be in favor of the spark plan simply because I'm taking better care of myself than I have in ages.

    I trully believe it is just as harmful to your body to not eat enough as it is to eat too much. So make sure to give your body what it needs. (Dare I suggest some more fruits and veggies???...LOL).

    You are making go progress and with the exercise, you are well on your way.

    I completely agree that Spark People is great not just for losing weight, but for taking better care of ourselves in general. I'm paying so much more attention to how I fuel my body, and how I expend my energy - and I'm feeling so much better - not just more healthy - but better about myself. I think that Spark People is allowing its users to reclaim their power - and that is magnificent!
