c25k w1d2 ? me?

Wednesday, June 29, 2011

So, after Sunday's zombie-shuffle event, this morning at 5.20am, I went out for another go. This time I was accompnanied by one of my teenage sons, who walked (yes walked!) beside me most of the way. At least he didn't laugh at me. I found it easier today I think, but I was also adrenalin-rushed before going out, when I saw I'd lost 2 pounds this week. Who knows, maybe I'll do this again on Friday, and might even be ready and willing to try week 2 on Sunday :O Enjoying the view, the tranquility and the wildlife. Not sure why the rabbits ran away so quickly tho - it's not like I was going to be able to catch up with one of them lol.

Why can't everyday be a stay-at-home day with a bright but chilly morning just inviting some outdoors activity. Back at work next week, and while I think I could get up a bit earlier and do this nearly 5km circuit a few times a week before starting my long commute/work day, a good chunk of the route is over grass fields which don't have any lighting. I don't think I'll feel so inspired to only shuffle along the street-lamp-lit concrete pavements. But, take each day as it comes, and I'll cross that bridge when I get to the river.

Feeling good today emoticon

I did something similar to the c25k and now I am starting to think about and plan out going up to a 10k. So excited about that. emoticon emoticon And you are exactly right you need to cross the bridge when you get to the river.

I'm doing the C25K circuit, too. Tomorrow will be day 2 for me (of week one) as well. I felt so proud after doing it yesterday, so I'm looking forward to keeping it up. It's always hard to get out the door, but once I'm going, I'm good. Maybe think of that when you're trying to squeeze it in before work? It may be a rough, uninspired start, but afterwards, it will have been a great start to your day. Good luck with it all! I'll be rooting for ya!
