Pray for Milnot, ND.

Tuesday, June 28, 2011

Long Time, no see, Ladies.

I think I am ready to get back in the saddle, so to speak.

I have been keeping tabs on a fellow Church member who is a Major in the USAF. She was stationed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base at Dayton, Ohio. About a year ago was transferred to Milnot, ND. As most of you know, they have had terrible floods out there. They themselves are on higher ground. She met her husband when she was stationed there before. He is a bonafided cowboy. We always looked 'funny' together, she is a good foot taller than me!

When they lived here, she servied a tour in Afganstein as a field nurse and a Physican Assistant! She is quite a woman. And a devot Christian.

Hope all of you are out of harms way. Now, I can tackle the spare bedroom today.

I was to have a sleep study this friday. Hubby always says I won't make my own desions. Well, I decided to prove him wrong. I have decided to forget it. There are other issues I feel is more important.

Better get off here. D 'furry kid' is giving me an evil eye.

Hugs,
Janet

I will offer up prayers for Minot. Many parts of Missouri where I live are having a lot of flooding right now. North of us a town named Parkville is facing a lot of flooding danger. A park has been closed there due to flooding. Their downtown area is still open. I guess I'm a big chicken. I don't want to be anywhere near flooding.

This isn't original, of course but,,,we have had the strangest weather. Our Ohio Farmers have had a terrible time getting into their fields to plow and plant. We pray for those involved in Floods, recovery from tornados, for fires burning out of control, etc. It is good to know that God is still God and He is in control. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Thanks! My mom, brother, and sister (and family) all live in Minot. I grew up and graduated from high school in Minot. All 3 of my children were born in Minot. I now live in Texas. My mom and my sister & family were evacuated and have no flood insurance! I graduated from high school the year of the 69 flood and we could take a row boat to our front door. It's the same house that my mom just left again. No telling when she will be able to return and so I DO covet everyone's prayers. My mom is 87 and my brother moved her into the senior high rise that he lives in temporarily. My sister, her hubby and 2 children are in a small apartment. We are suspect that both homes will be ruined and not salvagable.
