This morning I went to the chiropractor. I never was in real pain but my shoulders and hips would bother me off and on at night while I was sleeping. He told me he felt a some inflammation right where my hip joint is on the right side and also in my shoulder tendons. He did a few adjustments and wants me to come back again this week and 2x's next week for the following 2 weeks. They did some u/s on my one shoulder and the stimulation. He says its most likely from repetitive motion which I can see myself qualifying for between the running and weight lifting (and the tiller work I did a month back). I didn't really tell me to stop any of those activities though so I guess I'm ok to continue.
This weekend we went for a bike ride as a family. It was a lot of fun but my bike and my husband's is about 13 years old so really they need new tires. Something I definitely need to look into getting when I got out next time. His is taking the appearance of being dry rotted some.
I also went for my first run in a while on Saturday. I changed things up a bit and listened to my body instead of watching the clock so much. My phone app will beep and update me at minute intervals so I had an idea about how much actual jogging time I was doing vs. walking. I'm up to about 2 min. on, 2-3 min. off. I actually shaved a whole minute off my mile per hour speed. That was pretty good I thought! Chalene Johnson says her Hiit workouts will help with regular cardio seeming easier and I think she is right about that.
