I don’t know how people find the time to do everything. I am always crunched for time. I never get to finish everything I want to do. How do I fit in work, exercising, blogging, Sparks, housecleaning, cooking, and kids? Something always has to give. Well this week for me it was my Spark time – sorry guys I haven’t been as supportive and communicative as I have been in the past months.
I wanted to up my exercise time to help me get out of my loss slump - this is where my time went this week. I haven’t had a 2 pound loss all month. I added a pool exercise routine a 4 times this week. Pool time is great because I can exercise while my daughter plays in the water. Adding these new exercises has almost doubled my exercise time this month. This is the first month that I crossed over 1,000 minutes. Hubby and I also upped our walk by changing to a new cardio walk instead of our normal walk – and it is a killer.
Progress to Monthly Goals
Count calories every day – Done. Only missed carbs and fats one day!
Stay within calorie range and nutrient range – over calories once this week by 150 calories. I have been craving a burger for 2 months – so we went to Five Guys. My dog and I split a burger and daughter and I split the fries. Not a great choice but better than eating the whole thing myself. Hopefully I will have another few months before I crave them again.
Strength training for upper body 3 days per week – Done. I still feel like I have flappy upper arms. I hate having bat wings. Hopefully they will start to fly away soon.
Exercise Ball Routine 3 times per week – Still doing pool exercises instead but at least the ball is blown up. Plus I got new water gloves and resistance weights for the pool. They make my water workout so much harder and more effective.
Walking 5 days per week – Walked 6 days – even increased my distance by ½ mile and changed routines. I still have to ice the stupid cyst on my foot each night to keep the pain level lower but I can walk again.
Try one new recipe per week – didn’t try anything new this week. We ended up making a big pot of veggie soup that lasted more meals than I anticipated.
Lose 2 pounds per week – YEAH!!! I did make 2 pounds this week. Guess all the extra exercise paid off!
Three things I am grateful for:
1. Very little work overtime this month - more home time
2. Finally cleaning out some junk from house
3. Doctor noticed weight loss and medicines were reduced
Three positive things about myself
1. Getting healthier
2. Helped Hubby achieve his weight loss goal
3. I am a supportive mom and spouse
