Slow & Steady Walking: Learning a New Way

The quote today is from Abraham Lincoln; "I am a slow walker, but I never walk backwards."

That is SO not me!

I am a sprinter: an "ENFP" for anyone who knows Myers-Briggs. I am bored by routine, I am spontaneous, I jump in heart first then rationalize with my head.

I am so NOT a slow walker. I run, then trip, or collapse, out of breath, or get lost because I am running so fast.

Sooooo, this SparkPeople way, this is a challenge. A challenge beyond 8 glasses of water - piece of cake, I always have a water bottle around. A challenge beyond 8 hours of sleep; napping is my hobby. A challenge even beyond logging my exercise or food.

This, this slow & steady is new for me. Taking the time to let new habits form. Time for my head to catch up with my heart. Time to learn to walk a new way for life. Time and a place to reflect and to learn from others.

Learning to 'walk slow' is a challenge. A challenge I have taken on. A challenge I can do!
