Hiya everyone!

Sorry for not posting recently but I've been busy. I was a bit down yesterday because I was told that the NHS operation I'm waiting for could take another 6 months! Hopefully I will have my operation before Christmas but you never know. Well, at least the surgeons are nice and the quality of service is great - it's just that it takes such a long time! I was watching a TV programme yesterday on Channel 4 called 'Born to be different', which is about an on-going documentary that follows 6 children who had severe special needs (learning difficulties and serious medical conditions). I find watching these types of programmes certainly puts things into perspectives and makes me much more patient towards my own issues and the slow progress I sometimes feel I'm achieving.

Anyhow, I weighed myself today and realised that I now weigh 156 lbs! This means that I am only 9 lbs away from my ideal weight goal, which is just over half a stone! Not only this, but when I entered my new weight into SP, it stated that my BMI is now within the normal range! I've been looking forward to this for ages and I didn't even notice it coming!

This has helped given me the motivation to keep on going and continue with exercise. I have just started the first week of Push (the second) phase in Charlean's Extreme and am enjoying the weight lifting! Before I used to hate strength training and now I love it! It was always the neglected area of my exercise and now it's integral.

Every 6 weeks, I'm aiming to change my cardio exercise routine so that I have two main types of exercise I can turn to and use to burn calories. Currently, it's circuit training (which I make up and alternate each time) and turbo jam. Next time, I think it will be jogging and skipping.
