I was walking home from work today - tired, hungry. I had to skip dinner last night because I was locked out of my apartment and when I got back in the power was out and it was too late to go out to get something to eat so I just went to bed. So I was hungry all day today, but I stuck to my eating plan. As I said, I was tired and hungry and in the past I would have used that as an excuse to stop the first place I could and eat something inappropriate but today all I wanted to do was get home and eat something healthy. It made me realize that I have gone from eating to make me feel better to eating so that I can be healthy. I wasn't even tempted - had no desire to use my hunger as an excuse to bing on junk. Wanting what is good for me is a wonderful thing and I know I will continue to be successful losing weight and becoming more fit.
