Where am I and where am I going ?

Hello my sparkers! I have been MIA off and on. I hope everyone is doing great and feeling good. I have been busy and trying to get back where I was. It gets so hard sometimes when life gets the best of you. I have been trying har to get my business started, dealing with my job and the economy and family. I know all of us go through life's ups and downs but I am so stuck in a lingering space that I just feeling like screaming at the top of my lungs. I'm still trying to get fit and eat healthy. I run but not as much as I use to and it bothers me. I can't understand why I can't get it back. I have gained a lilttle weight back but not too much but its a weight that I am not comfortable with it not like when I started but not what I like. I tell everyone to stay motivated but I feel like I'm letting my friends down. I need my spark friend to help me through this stagment. I just need some pick me up right now because I need to get back to keeping sprits uplifted so I can continue to help others stay uplifted. I miss you spark friends. I just need some words of encouragment right now.

    When I open Sparkpeople I always see your comments on the right side of my page. You have been most faithful and it is comforting. This fitness and health journey has it's ups and downs and since you and I are human, we get to on the up and down ride. I admire that you are always there and trying. You are a motivation for me.     You managed in the past to find a way to achieve your goals. Reach back into your memory bank and find out just what you did. Success was there and now you have to reach in and find that formula which got you there. If some of it comes back to you and you didn't keep a ledger in the past, write it down, post it where you can see it everyday.

    I like this quote from one of my favorite movies Apollo 13, "FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION" "GET ME THE PROCEDURES" "NOW".
    Those procedures are your plans to succeed.

    I think when we think of the summer we think of fun & forget that fitness & weight loss can be fun. Don't even sweat it Girl, we are all in the same boat. Just be encouraged.

    Hey Girl. Summer just started so now is a GREAT time to make some summer goals. You can do this. Find your reasons why you want to get in shape. Think about them, write about them, visualize them. Then one step at a time. You can do it!

    I've always found when struggling to just get back to basics and find one small goal I focus on achieving each day so I start feeling successful. For me it's the 8 glasses of water a day. That's the only thing I focus on until I start feeling the success of reaching that goal consistently and it leads me to add another goal.

    Sometimes when you feel overwhelmed the best thing to do is just do something. I know your problems are probably a lot worse than mine but to give you a simple example, when my house gets really dirty it just overwhelms me to get started on it. So I set a timer for 15 mins. and for 15. min a day I do one housecleaning task until I start seeing success and then I can face doing a lot more than 15.

    Its hard to encourage yourself. Its one of the hardest things to do. Keep your head up.bust out some old photos. Laugh, smile, cry, get a straw and suck it up and lets get it moving. You got a lot going on, so keep smiling. You look so much better when you oh oh oh!

    Hi Monique, First of all don't worry about letting anybody down but yourself. You are in this journey for one person and one person only. Do this for YOU not everybody else. Do what you feel the need to do first--scream-cry- swear-anything but don't beat yourself up. We are all here for you to vent WHENEVER you feel the need. DON"T keep it inside. I think you need to rethink your plan of action first and foremost. decide which meal plan is best for your lifestyle, then when you have those figured out, decide if there are things that can be changed like stopping a trigger food, or cutting down changing one thing for a better thing. For example I found that instead of three meals as day I had to start eating 6 smaller meals and watch my carbs and my sodium. After I did that I found a lot of my cravings and hunger went away so now I am finally starting to head downward although it IS very slow and I am an impatient person but it works. SO you have to decide what plan is best for you. On the ream page there is a heading that says "I challenge myself. on there you just put down one or two things you want to do like say you want to stop or sodas or you want to cut out sweets--just put down that is your challenge and do it for a week and if that works try another week till you have it in your head that is what should be done. Just remember theses are just suggestions and it is up to you to do what is best for you. I know it is hard with a busy lifestyle but "YOU CAN DO IT" I know you can. We are all behind you all the way never forget that. When ever you start to struggle with something just give a yell for help and we will be there. So start in with baby steps--one thing at a time and you WILL prevail. A plan is what you first need to start. The only other word of advise I can offer right now please do this while you are young as it comes off much better than when you wait till your 60's and 70's to do this. I know first hand. Now smile and don't worry as that never helps.

    I agree, scream!!! emoticon Sounds to me you need some me time. Maybe if you can, take 10, 15 minutes to start and go for a walk, do jumping jacks or just meditate!!     Go Ahead and Scream!!!!!! We all need to let off some steam when life gets hectic. It sounds like you are in a rut. Just take a breath, and think about what you did before that got you motivated to run. So dust yourself off, so you can complete your journey. I know you can do it. For the simple fact you have done it before.
