I would have been quite happy to have not done any exercise today, but I am in a team challenge that involves "doing" 5k. Chose a route closest to that distance where I live. Looked out the window - DARED the clouds to open up on me and set out walking. When I was out of sight of houses and dog-walkers I started to run. Well, a slightly-faster-than-walking attempt at a jog, anyway emoticon. Didn't get very far before I had to stop - maybe 100 metres, but I managed better than I thought I would (expected to do about 5 steps and collapse). Managed a couple more little bursts too. very proud of myself. emoticon

Thankyou kiwi team. I would never have done that if it hadn't been for the first week's 5k timing activity. emoticon

    Yay! Congrats on your 5k. I heard the term somewhere on here and have loved it ever since -- I "wogged" my 5k..mostly walking with bits of jogging thrown in for fun and excitement. Just wait until you see how you can do in 9 weeks :)

    Congratulations! That's a great first step :) On my run today I dared the clouds to open up and rain and they DID! Ugh...it was awful. Really slowed me down. Be proud of yourself. Taking steps of any kind brings you closer to your goals! Keep up the great work!!
