Getting Going Again...

Friday, June 17, 2011

I admit I have been slacking a bit lately. The fundraiser was very time consuming (but worth it! So far we've raised $172!!). The day of the fundraiser we had a wicked thunderstorm half way through. We packed up and tried again the next day. We didn't have very many people at first but due to some quick thinking we raised the same amount as the first day.

Summary of what we raised:
$172 (and counting! Donate at www.ctjumpstart.c
) for Canadian Tire's JumpStart Program
$40+ in sports equipment for Kidz Can Help
$20+ in food donations for Pelham Cares

Overall we had fun and it was definitely worth it.

Now we have to walk/run all those kilometers! So far we are at 20km. This week alone we have walked 5km for three days straight. Hopefully the weather cooperates and we can keep it up as our routine.

We are starting a Nike+ challenge on July 1st, but we really want to have another challenge as well. If you have any ideas please let me know.

We currently have the Follow Us Frenzy contest going on. If you follow us on You Tube, Facebook, Twitter, Sparkpeople or via newsletter you are entered to win a fitness or nutrition ebook. We have a ton to choose from and we will be having 3 winners from each category.

We are also hoping to kick out some more video reviews this week. Through our survey contest we learned that the number one thing people want is more reviews! Completely understandable! With switching to video reviews they are more time consuming but so worth it. If you have any of our current reviews you would like to see changed to a video review or if you have a suggestion for a game/video/book to be reviewed please let me know.

That's it for now. Hopefully I can keep on track (both with weight loss and the site) and some exciting things can happen this summer!
