I blew it...

Tuesday, June 14, 2011

Yes, I blew it, but I will not be defeated! I am picking myself up, dusting myself off, and starting all over again.

I fell out of routine around the first of March. I have been working part-time as a pharmacy technician since October 2010. The other pharmacy tech I work with found out in January that she had breast cancer. She began having Chemotherapy treatments at the beginning of March. Needless to say, I started having to pull the hours she was missing. I began eating bad, drinking sodas, and just lost total control of my day-to-day routine! I looked around me and felt defeated and unable to get back up and make this new crazy schedule work.

Thankfully, Bridget (the other pharm tech) found out June 1st that they had managed to get all of the cancer. It was just one spot near her armpit. They shrunk it with chemo and then went in and surgically removed it. So far, she has received shining reports and she is going to make a full recovery. That means that my schedule has begun to return to normal.

Last week, I stepped on the scale and saw that I was weighing in at 198.8 pounds and couldn't believe it!!! I was SHOCKED!! This is the biggest I have ever been. Bigger than I was 9 months pregnant with my children! This is UNACCEPTABLE!! I decided it was time to quit sitting here using the "I'm out of my routine" excuse, get up, dust myself off, and tackle this with a serious attitude and vengeance!! I will not fall victim to this!! I will rise up and be successful! No matter what, my health cannot be put on the back burner anymore! I can and will do this!!

As of yesterday morning, I started P90X again and weighed in at 198.2. Down a little bit from last Monday. So, here we go....

Amanda, did you ever do the primal blueprint thing? If so, how did it work. I noticed it was in your message about a year ago but I was searching for the primal blueprint and found you. BTW, your family is beautiful. Amy
