No Gain Weekend....
Sunday, June 12, 2011
I took a friend's no gain weekend challenge - and I think I might have done it - I won't know for sure until tomorrow - but this morning the scale was in my favor....
It hasn't been the weekend of the best choices - however - I have been mindful of the wrong choices and kept them in check.
Weekends are the hardest time for me to try and squeeze my exercise in, and I failed horribly Sat/Sun....that's why I have Mon - Fri. I gues..
Schedules just don't allow for me time.
Today we had a baseball game, which was a hearbreaker. It was the completion of the game we started Wed, that had all sorts of drama that ensued.....we were tied 7-7 and had to play until someone scored. We were the away team, so we hit first....not good. Our hitters didn't score at all - so it was up to my 9 yr. old to pitch his little heart out....and he did, the bad news was that it wasn't enough, and they other team scored 1 run, and that was all that was needed....I had to watch my 9 yr. olds heart break....he felt like he let his team down because he couldn't get it done in this one inning.....what he failed to remember that it was his three run triple that created this tie, and his lights out pitching on Wed. that brought us to this place today....we had been down 7-4 on Wed, and he hit that triple to tie it.....and then didn't let in any other runs in the bottom of the 6th to get him there....
He cried a touch - but not much, I think that the other coach pullin him aside and telling him that he could play for him anytime helped, that along with some ice cream.
We then went to his Championship hockey game - where they lost bigtime....not a good day for him - but a stop at Dunkins' and that was fixed....
9 yrs old - they have it going on - he has let go of the losses and moved one....
We should all learn from that.
