The sleepover eats

Sunday, June 12, 2011

Last night we had a sleepover for the girl scout troop, and I brought a veggie tray and ranch dressing. You should have seen the girls downing the fresh veggies! It's funny what kids will eat, it's pretty much what you buy, they'll eat. So don't buy the crap. They'll eat the healthy if you provide it. I bought naval oranges, grapes, bananas, apples, and pineapple today, and have it all available for the kids, and myself. That is my step towards health today.

Tonight I plan to walk, and tomorrow I work a double shift, but I won't let that deter me. I HAVE to get back on track, I've been off it for so long, I forgot what it looks like.

One of the best strategies I have found for myself was always having fresh fruit around. I even bought a nice big fruit bowl that I keep full and in site at all times. My kids will eat out of it too. I am so happy fruit is in season right now. It's awesome!!

That is awesome! My son will devour a fruit salad if I put together fresh! Kudos to you for bringing good stuff to the table!

As for the track, if you find it, let me know so I can join you!

Wishing you the best this Sunday!
