Kinda "eh" day...

Saturday, June 11, 2011

My day started off less then stellarly. Last night was a fitful sleep. Went to bed a little after midnight, but then woke up around 1:15 to a CRAZY thunderstorm outside! Our basement is flood prone, so I was concerned about that, and went down to check to make sure every item was either off the floor or in a plastic box (as is the pattern whenever we have heavy rain). All was well - other than the HUMONGOUS house centipede that scurried out from under one item I had to move. I HATE those bugs.. especially when I'm in socked feet and not hard soled footwear!!

Anyway, got back in bed and not 15 minutes later I realized that I was feeling "that" kind of pain… yep ladies… it's CRAMP time!

Took care of that as well as a Naproxen for the pain then fell back asleep until around 7am, when I awoke again due to all the water I started drinking again! After a couple ups and downs, I got out of bed around 9:50am.

I had a good breakfast of measured out cereal, milk and strawberries. After browsing online a bit, I prompted hubby to take the recycling to the town center, which got rid of all our extra cardboard, and I took the books I had left over from my yard sale out to be donated - all but two small boxes are gone now.. ah… One of my other goals has been to lighten my burden of unease household "stuff", and that was the last part of the yard sale part of it, which made me quite happy.

Did some laundry the ate lunch. I spent some time on our computer upstairs exporting journal entries from my journaling program, brought garbage and then spent a harrowing 30 minutes on the phone with our wireless company straightening out an issue.

Bottom line, not too bad a day but not great either. Weather is rainy/yucky out, so haven't gotten outside at all. Waiting for hubby to get back inside (he did some weed plucking outside - he likes the cool weather), and then we'll go somewhere for dinner. My goal? Simply moderate…Easy on the bread, drink more water than beverage.
