On to week 3!

This past week was a bit of a challenge. On Sunday I didn't do a good stretch before gardening and definitely had a sore back that night as well as the following day. Lesson definitely learned. I also did brutal on the nutrition front - had a treat (or 2!) every single day...I need to get back on track with my nutrition.

It's like I sabotage myself - if I do good on nutrition I let my fitness slide or vice versa. Who knows maybe I'm scared of trying on both fronts and still not losing the weight. I definitely need to try harder and stop giving in to temptation thinking that it's okay because I worked out.

Recap of Week 2:

emoticon Saturday June 4th - 5k hike with husband went well. I also de-weeded the garden. This was a big job because the garden was pretty much one giant weed! I filled two wheelbarrows with them.

Sunday June 5th - I was supposed to do the 30 day shred. Instead I planted the garden (I'm so excited for everything to bloom!) and I decided that pushing my sore back would likely result in more injury.

emoticon Monday June 6th - Run 5k - burned 490 calories! My back was a little sore at the end but I finished up with some stretching, pilates roll backs and rolling like a ball and that seemed to help a lot.

emoticonTuesday June 7th - My back felt great this day so instead of a rest day I did the 30 day shred to make up for Sunday. I saw an improvement over the week before!

emoticonWednesday June 8th - Pilates class! This was a tough one - at one point we held a one armed pushup well doing triceps kickbacks with a sandball in the other hand. Woot!

emoticonThursday June 9th - 30 day shred. My arms were pretty sore from Pilates but I did all the exercises full out except the second round of push ups were on my knees.

Friday June 10th - rest day! Boy my arms were sore - I love that feeling!

Overall I'm happy with this week despite the nutrition problems. On the thursday I tried to talk myself out of doing the shred since I was sore - this blog helped me stay on track because I knew I'd promised myself I'd do the work!

Here's my plan for the upcoming week:

Saturday June 11th - Run 5k - I'd like to try doing this outside today for the first time this season!

Sunday June 12th - 30 day shred. I also want to de-weed the front lawn. Pesticides are illegal in Ontario so I got a weed puller.

Monday June 13th - Run 5k. I won't be staying over night at the mine this week so I'll do this outside or on my home treadmill.

Tuesday June 14th - Rest

Wednesday June 15th - Pilates! Woo hoo - 3 weeks in a row.

Thursday June 16th - 30 day shred.

Friday June 17th - Rest
