First, a quick review of my day yesterday:
I give myself a 2.5 for overall health and productivity for Thursday.
I did a couple back exercises in the morning before my shower. I usually avoid going up stairs in the morning because I don't like carrying my bag and such upwards. I am proud to say I DID walk the 61 steps up the stairs to my 3rd floor cubicle.
I had a decent breakfast; cereal, FFmilk and banana. I did try to get up often to walk and stretch my back just a bit. That's a very important thing for me to do every day, as I do have disk issues which I need to manage carefully (though fortunately it rarely gets in the way of my normal activities).
I didn't eat great during and after lunch. I had a bologna and cheese sandwich, and then had 1 piece of regular ice cream cake and a small pc of "oreo" ice cream cake at a baby shower in the afternoon. I would have been happier with myself and enjoyed it more, if I had just had one regular/smallish pc of the oreo cake, which was VERY tasty :
I did get about 24 oz. of water in during the day. Not 48, but not 0, so I'll give myself credit for drinking some water :)
I stayed late at work while waiting for my chiropractor appointment and browsed on sparkpeople (it's become my newest addition to my "favorite websites"!). It was productive in that I did read a couple articles and earned some extra inspiration, motivation and sparkpoints during my visit :)
My chiropractor's appointment which went well (hadn't been in two weeks and needed to get back into it), and afterwards bought a (way too expensive, but really nice) pedometer, a few general groceries at Target, including trail mix for any future summer hikes, and got a "memory foam" mattress pad to cover our queen sized bed, for a GOOD price (clearanced, plus 20% off), to aid in my back comfort. So I give myself credit for planning for my good health and purchasing what I needed to support my efforts.
I didn't have a lot of time once I got home at around 8:30. I am proud to say I still took the time to cook dinner for myself, which included protein, fruit, grains (though not whole), and juice. This was a good meal for me, being a picky eater, and 200% percent better than dinner the night before!!
Unfortunately, I was less productive on the computer then I had hoped. My intention was to look up 20 minute Bible studies so I could start, in a small way, focusing on my spiritual education again. I did find one interesting article, which I did bookmark, but nothing substantial, and I got easily distracted - hubby had a movie on, and I kept looking up at that (one of the biggest barriers to my productivity at night and also greatest temptations to overeat/badly eat is the TV - and we have a small house with no where I can "escape" that's comfortable, yet close to my hubby).
Hubby and I did manage to go over our calendars briefly so we know what we are up to the next several weeks. Hubby needs to look up one family weekend and then we'll be caught up.
I got to sleep before midnight, but not early enough for a full hours sleep. I would say I got a solid 6.5.
