Eating changes I have made!!

I am not dieting as much as I am trying to learn to eat healthy.
I know the same thing does not work for everyone so I am trying to find what works for me.
I am making small changes like cutting back on salt, and cutting out the bad carbs.
I have given up eating bread for the last 4 weeks. I have Fibromyalgia and my body just does not handle yeast well. I try to get my fiber from other things. Also I swim 35 laps or 1 mile on
Mon. Wed. and Fri. and on Tue. and Thur. I ride my bike or walk. Because of the fibro when
I swim I use fins and a kick board part of the time.Which some might say is cheating but I have to work as hard with these devices as someone who doesn't. Because I do not have the strength. and when I do these exercise that is all I can do and the rest of the day I have to rest because I am exhausted. It does beat the alternative because if I didn't force my self to move I would not be able to get out of a chair or bed. So I say ONWARD AND UPWARD MY SPARK FRIENDS. We as Eaglets must soar high and proud!!!!!!!!

    What a great blog! Having swam in the past I know that you are definitely getting a good workout with the fins and kickboard! You should never worry about what someone else says about what works for you! You seem to be doing an awesome job of finding what works for you! Keep up the good work!

    Your program sounds like the right one for you. Doing what you can do - making changes that are doable and fit your needs --- that's terrific. What more can we ask of ourselves than to do the best we can! Yay for small changes. They work for me, too!

    As for swimming - I figure whatever it takes to make it from one end of the pool to the other - you've exercised! emoticon emoticon

    You are doing AWESOME!!! I didnt know that yeast could affect fibro. I don't eat much bread anyway except for on occasion I wouldn't call it cheating at all using fins and board....you are still moving. One small change at a time can have huge benefits

    Thats great that you are working to figure out what works best for you. We are all different, and our bodies react differently to things. I too, am trying to cut back on salt intake, man its hard, its in everything, and lots of it.

    Great job on the swimming. I wouldnt call it cheating at all. You are still in the water, and have to work to get from one side to the other. Keep it up, you are doing great!!

    When I use the word "diet" it means eating in a healthy way not eating unhealthy or starving myself. It sounds as though you are finding what works for you and that is all that matters. Your journey may be a little different than mine but the fact that we are all working towards the same goal in a healthy manner is what is important. You are doing emoticon Keep up the good work!

    My daughter has fibromyalgia as well, think I'll sugggest the flippers and boogie board!
