It's been a really good week so far. I started off by reaching a milestone of dropping two pant sizes. Today I jumped on the scale and had left the 340's. I am now 339 which means I'm down from my starting weight by 31 pounds. These are great motivators, but the real success is in the life I'm starting to live. I have more energy to play with the kids, work, and accomplish things at home. I am finding that not only am I getting more done, but I WANT to get more done. I have motivation to do things that I never did before. I no longer get home from work just dying to hit the couch and "unwind." I now get home from work with a head full of things I want to do each night. Who is this guy and what did he do with the old me??? I am loving the life I'm leading now. Things are still difficult for me to do at 339 pounds, but not nearly as difficult as they were at 370. I'm also stronger and have more stamina than I did. It's proof to me that this journey is worth every skipped can of pop or candy bar. It is worth every carrot, apple, and banana that I've eaten instead. It is worth the tanker-load of water I drink each day. It is worth the hours of sweat that have poured from my body while walking, biking, running, and swimming. It is worth all the time invested mentally changing the way I look at food and exercise. It is worth all of this and more. It is something worth celebrating!
Have a great day and as always...
