The mind is willing but the body is... well, just a little bit sore.

Today I’m still stiff from this exercising lark! I am hoping that I will have loosened up a bit before my Zumba class tonight!

Yesterday was a good day off, although I didn’t get too much done. I got up early and went for a C25K session first thing and after I dropped the girls at daycare, I went for a 50 minute pool session. The run/interval training went well. I started off feeling good, not out of breath at all, but I did take it slower as I was still a bit stiff. At the end, I felt a bit bushed. I was still a bit stiff for my swimming/walking in water session too but took a ten minute dip afterwards in the whirlpool to help my muscles relax.

After that I met my friend for lunch. We went to White Spot and both chose the Chargrilled Chicken Burger which is one of their healthy options. It’s still quite a lot of calories just for lunch at 530 but it was tasty and worth it. I found myself pretty hungry most of the day and picked at cherries and other snack foods which was bad. I’m finding that I am quite hungry a lot now with this additional exercise. I’m thinking that the scales will show an increase on Friday...

In my mind, I toy with various ideas on how to kick start my weight loss again... returning to the Meal Planner in SP perhaps... looking at how I lost weight before and trying to repeat it but I don’t want to repeat it... I look back and I get myself into a rut – eating the same things each day (well, that’s a bit like my breakfast routine now!) and having little variety. I like variety though. I wish I had more energy and time for cooking new things. I guess I just have to focus on what I’m spending my time no and re-prioritize. Perhaps I need to get summer salads ready to go so we can have something on the grill with salad most nights. Then we can maybe play with the girls in the garden. There just always seems so much to do. Bathing the girls takes a while as they have to be monitored. Our bathroom floor ends up as a swimming pool if we’re not careful! And I have to get their clothes out for the next day and get their lunches ready.

Last night we were all tired – everyone was in bed by 9.15 although it would have been earlier but the girls didn’t want to go to bed as it was still daylight.

Tomorrow I will get up at 5.15am for my C25K session... Week 2 day 2 (I did two day 1s by mistake). I’m finding that stretching the week for one extra session is working out so far. I hope I’m not sore after the Zumba. I also need to get back on my recumbent bike before dust settles on it... it’s been about a week! I’ve not even turned the Wii on for 2 or 3 weeks but I guess it’s summer time now and I am getting out more.

We are going camping again at the weekend, back to the place we’ve been a couple of times recently. We have booked the pitch opposite the play ground. It’s really flat in the area so I’m hoping to go for a C25K session on Saturday morning. I also hope the weather is good enough to use the campsite pool.

I am really going to try to focus on drinking lots of water at the weekend and also eating right – and the right amounts. No fish and chips this time.

Is it only Wednesday? Today in the office is really dragging. I’ve not been very productive this morning. This afternoon I will knuckle down. This morning I've been trying to get over 100 spark points (I got a bonus for message board posts today!)... which isn't really what my boss wants to hear about!

Have fun everyone. I hope you’re enjoying the warmer weather (for my Canadian and US friends) or keeping warm (my Australian friends – Not long until Christmas in July for you guys!).
