Quickie blog - Day 26 of liberation from sugar!

I'm extra busy this week, getting back into the groove at college. 4 nights a week (3 hours a night) is a lot, especially with the 45 min. drive each way. But, it's only for 6 weeks - yay! Then another break before fall semester.

Today Noah is coming down to spend the afternoon with me, and then I'll take him home on my way to school. He's almost 4 now, so he's really growing up. So fun, and I am very grateful to have such a close & loving relationship with him. He always runs to me and throws himself into a hug - it just doesn't get any better than that.

Today is my 26th day of liberation from sugar and unhealthy carbs. I had to sit here and count the days because it's just become a lifestyle for me now and I really don't think about it. I'm not having as much time to cook as I did at the beginning, but now that it's finally warmed up I'm going to plan more big salads. Bread is my one weakness - but if I didn't eat it, I wouldn't have ENOUGH calories! And I stick to whole grain, healthy bread.

    Big salads are a major key! Me and my husband both eat them. I'm so lucky and they are so filling! Keep it up!

    I am curious what you use in place of sugar that work for you? Esp, those recipes that call for sugar?
