Update - preparing to be a WARRIOR!

Hey all! I shut off the internet for the summer (and cable) so that I could spend more quality time with my little family and enjoy the outdoors instead of getting stuck in front of a box and wasting away the hours. Unfortunately that means I can't get on spark often :( It's hard because so many of you are motivating and I love seeing your progress but at the same time I love not feeling the need to jump online every couple of hours to check facebook and my email! LOL.
I have been continuing to work out 5-6 days a week and trying to keep a healthy diet. I'm such a food addict that every day can be a struggle for me (I miss cheese enchiladas more than I can say!) but I'm logging all my food in a little notebook and am seeing the weight come off. I lost 10 lbs in the month of May (success!) and recently started weight lifting with a girl at work who use to be a body builder so I may see slower progress on the scale as I build muscle but I will see more inches falling off. 3 inches have come off both my hips and waist in the last 9 weeks (success!).
Yesterday I got off work early so I went up to the base gym and had a trainer measure my body fat. He just did the hand held so he told me that it could be up to 4% inaccurate but according to it's results I am 31% body fat (eek) and have a BMI of 28.7. He told me that he reccommends getting down to at least 28% body fat, and 25 BMI but of course my personal goals are going to exceed that. I have decided every 2 months to go back and get re-checked. My 1st goal in regards to my body fat is to get down to 25% and then I'll re-evaulate once I get there.
My next big event is the Warrior Dash coming to Seattle next month. I am signed up for Sunday July 17th and am super excited since I haven't done a race like this before. I also want to do a half marathon this year. I did one if May of '10 and it was such a high that I want that feeling again! I ran/walked 10 miles this past weekend with my sister so the training is going well but I just need to find a race to sign up for. Seems all the ones I find sell out at the drop of a hat!
