Bicycle commuting, day 9
Tuesday, June 07, 2011
Well, I'm still at it.
Today I rode one way, because I had an afternoon appointment back in Bethesda. It seems like this is starting to become routine. I don't even have any mishaps to report today. It was just a very pleasant ride. Apart from this past year, when it wouldn't have been practical, I wonder what took me so long to decide to do this. Ten miles isn't even that long of a ride, one-way, compared to some of the stuff I've done before. Even the heat hasn't bothered me up to this point. I've had a Camelbak for some time, but I just started using it. I barely notice it on my back, and it keeps my water cold and very accessible so I can take quick sips whenever I need to.
I have biked for 3 consecutive days now. Tomorrow will be a day of forced rest, because I have to take my daughter to her orthodontist. We may have a heat wave as well. Hoping for better luck Thursday!
