I ran!

Tuesday, June 07, 2011

Not for long...but it was a definite run. I was on the treadmill last night and kept going faster and I could just feel myself ready to try, so I did! I ran for 30 seconds - 3 different times. My knees have been giving me a little pain but feel really strong. I have been doing tons of strength training for my legs and the Dr told me after my surgery last year that even if there was some pain I wouldn't damage my knee and could do anything I want. I don't think I am ever going to be a "Runner". But I might run a little. Who knows? This may be the beginning of something, or just proof that I can.

Oh i know just how you feel!!! I have really bad knees and feet and when I ran for a bit a few weeks ago my blog title was something like:
I RAN, I RAN, I RAN, I REALLY, REALLY RAN!!!
Can you tell I was excited. Unfortunately it did affect my knees and ankles and I went thru a dark period, but like your phoenix I rose from the ashes and changed my plan to suit where I was at the time. The main thing is - we are making progress and doing things we never thought we would and we will keep going wont we!!?? Thank you for your support - keep on sparkin'!!!
