Back on Spark People

Well... I'm back!

Spark people did wonderful things for me before, and now I want to help motivate someone else, so I'm going to start tracking again. Really, it's a great tool, so I'm glad to be back. I just need to work on getting back in the habit of tracking daily.

Oh yeah, and I tried my first Zumba class last night. I'm a terrible dancer and I probably looked super silly, but it was so much fun I forgot I was exercising! LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I've also been taking a class using the TRX suspension trainer, which is amazing, but so tough that you definitely can't forget you're exercising while you're doing it. I would love to have some of my roller derby friends try out the TRX. I'm looking into buying one, and then I might see about bringing it to practice or something. (((sinister laugh)))

Speaking of Roller Derby, I skated in my first official bout with my team, the Rollergirls of Central Kentucky (ROCK). It was AMAZING and I loved every minute of it (except possibly the minute when I flew like superman and belly flopped onto the concrete floor... but I got back up quick, so I was really proud of myself anyway). BTW - We won in a most exciting fashion (our captain scored 10 points in the last jam to put us ahead 110-106 and then called it off before the other jammer made it out of the box and into the pack). Like I said, AMAZING!!!

So, hello again Spark People! I'm not the same person who left here 8 months ago. I'm now a bad a** derby girl who just wants to keep getting badder!! Huzzah!!!
