I had a really busy weekend and didn't get any "formal" fitness time in. However, I did burn an incredible amount of calories. We are putting a new entry way into our house and it includes a new flower bed and sidewalk. So this weekend I shoveled 4 yards of topsoil, 1.5 tons of gravel, and mixed and poured 46 bags of concrete. You could say that I was a little sore and tired, but oh how the calories fried! BURN BABY BURN!
Last night when we were done, we had to go do some shopping and I needed to pick up a new pair of shorts. I went in and they didn't have any my size, so I thought to myself "Self... Hmmm, you've been doing this fitness thing for a while now and the pounds have been falling off, why don't you try on some smaller shorts." Well, I did and I actually ended up buying a pair 2 SIZES SMALLER than I have been wearing. Suddenly all the soreness and tiredness of the weekend left me and I think I was walking on air the rest of the night.
Amazing what a little progress does for your body!
