There is only one way - forward.
Life surely doesn't always present itself favorably, but throws us many curve balls. (And sometimes even a big boulder right in front of us on our path.)
Stay strong, you'll get through this.
    Keep sparking!

Hey, babygirl......"G-Ma" will evolve. Not only will the person evolve, but the name will too..take my advice on that one!

In consideration of all the different names (Nanna, Grammy, etc.) that my grandchildren considered for all the different natural and step-folks in their lives, I had maintained that I just wanted simply Grandma. Well, when you hear it from their little mouths early in their lives, it sounds more like GRAMMA (no "d")....so now that's how I sign it.

The Great Grandmother's title was actually chosen accidentally, and now they're all referred to as "GG" (like Gigi, the Broadway show and movie). This, too, evolved because they couldn't pronounce all the syllables.

One thing is for sure: They're going to LOVE you!

    Kate-
I just read this blog and one other of yours from May and it sure sounds like you have a FULL and challenging life. I love Jesus, too, and follow Him and trust Him. He will not fail you, and He promises to be with you and sustain you at all times. I am a few years older than you (57), have 12!!!! grandchildren and am trying to lose 100 pounds and get healthy. I have lost 21 and in the midst of a full life, I am trying to grab hold of this opportunity.
Life is not going to slow down or settle down and we need to learn to do this while life is this way, don't you think?
    Stay the course!

Oh, KATE, bless your sweetest heart! I'm here for you! And PART of the stresses, I believe, are the hormonal issues that we are going through as well! I can SO hear your heart on it being hard to JUST get out of bed! I SO hear you!!!! Let's do this TOGETHER! We both turn 50 in September? When is your birthday? Mine is the 4th and my husband's is the 25th. We will both be 50 and he teases me that I'm the 'older' woman for 3 weeks! emoticon Love you MUCH! Susan

You're going to be an awesome G-ma! And the baby will be loved, which is always the MOST IMPORTANT thing.
Don't kill yourself on that elliptical! Just remember: baby steps are a great way to get started again. You will feel better, even if you do "just 10 minutes." Hang in there. You WILL get through this!

Sweetie, don't let the stress get the better of you. emoticon You can do this. Wait, let me emphasize: emoticon Things will sort themselves out, the worst feeling is always that stuff just happens without you being able to do anything about it. But just think: soon enough, there'll be this amazing new person you'll get to see grow up, who will just love spending time with you and hope that grandma will live forever! I think G-Ma sounds like an awesome superhero name, btw...
