Tony Horton, Day 5

Sunday, June 05, 2011

Today was a tough workout day. It was Total Body, Lower Body and Cardio. All 3 of the hard videos! I'm so glad it was my day off. :P Four more triple video days, and I get a break. I never thought I'd be so happy to see Wednesday in my life! Other people are excited for the weekend, or payday. Not me! I'm putting all my eggs in that one-video day! lol

After my videos, we went grocery shopping and then
I planned on taking the kids to the pool. We went to Walmart *grrr first, because I needed Morningstar and Boca stuff and they have a better selection. After Walmart *grrr, we went to Dillon's to get hamburger.

Oh! Almost forgot. When I was at Walmart *grrr, I saw my trainer from Curves. We always seem to meet at the store. lol Anyway, I've had a membership a couple times, but due to my 10 and 11 hour a day schedule, I'm extremely limited on the number of days I can go, so both times, I've cancelled my membership. She asked me to come back, but I explained that it just didn't work with my schedule. I asked if I could still come in and get protein powder, she said sure! That's great, because I'm VERY low! lol Anyway, she said that Curves is launching a new online program, probably sometime in July. She said you don't have to be a Curves member to join, it'll just cost a little more. She said that you can go in and select your dietary needs, then they'll make up a meal plan for you. If there's a meal you don't like, you can substitute it. After that, you just print it out, with the shopping list, and you're set for the week. They've even taken into account meals on-the-go. She said they have stuff like Lean Cuisine, etc in there and everything. I told her I was concerned about the amount of sodium in the packaged meals and she said they've calculated everything and found the healthiest choices, and as long as they're in the meal plan for the week, its all balanced out. From what I understand, not all Curves clubs are going to be able to offer the online thing though. The trainer (in this case, she's the owner) has to be a certified trainer, so this club will be able to offer it. She's going to send me the flyer when she gets it, so I'll pass on the info. There's more to it than just the meal plans, but I'm not sure what all is included. Downside: not free! lol

I told her I've been using Sparkpeople and told her all about it. She said she'd let her members know so if they wanted an extra tool at their disposal, they'd have it!

After the store, and being out in the 102 degree temperatures, we ran out to the fitness club to see how crowded it was. I'm pretty sure half of Junction City had the same thought that we did. lol

Anyway, instead of swimming I did an hour of cardio (and a couple strength training exercises) on the Wii Fit. It was so much fun! And I logged 368 calories burned in the process! I have to say, it was way more fun than walking on a treadmill!

Austin starts summer school tomorrow. He's got slight mental retardation (13, but still mentally about 9 or 10), so he's got an IEP. What that means is 3 weeks of summer school, to help keep him on track, and 3 weeks of mornings off for Taylor! She loves this time of year. lol

I'm going to find some dinner and check in on a few Spark Friends now. I hope everyone on the Firecrackers put in some serious work this week so we can have a great weigh-in tomorrow! I'm almost certain I'll either have a very small or no loss tomorrow, but that's okay with me. I was down 8.5 lbs last week and halfway through the week, 4 of those pounds came back. I spent the rest of this week fighting with those stubborn latecomers! As long as they're gone, I'm calling it a victory! Besides, that dang scale can't take away all my fitness I've done!

I'm really going now. Have a great night! And start next week with a bang! Fight with everything you've got to make this a high cardio, goal-targeted week!!!! You'll be glad you did, I promise!

Seriously though, I'm really leaving now.

Bye.

hehehe

I'm gonna jump out on a limb here and say that maybe just maybe you don't enjoy going to wal-mart? lol! Yes, the way you have been bustin' your butt, I bet Wednesday is lookin' real good!!! I can't believe how awesome you are doing! There's no stopping you!!! The fighter in Amy is coming out!!!! And it is out to STAY!!!! Great job on the awesome calorie burn!!! Tell Austin good luck at summer school!!! My oldest is going to a summer school program, but at 8 years old they don't really do too much homework, more fun learning, and outside play, water play, alot of science and reading. She doesn't have to go for any reason, I just make her, I'm a mean mom!...But I know she has fun while she is there, and it keeps her busy and on her routine for a little longer. And it's free, so why not! Anyway, you are doing awesome, and I hope your weigh in goes okay, I will text you tomorrow to see how it went! k goodnight! :)

Yeah he has! That's great! Its a bit of a struggle when you want them to be on the same level as other kids, but they just aren't. We still treat Austin just like Taylor, so even though he can't perform academically like his sister, he still has to follow the same rules and be accountable for his choices and actions.

I hope your son enjoys summer school!
