Tell me your favorite upbeat song Sparkfriends!!!

Friday, June 03, 2011

So two days ago I stepped on the scale even though I wasn't supposed to yet and was down to 279.8 which means I've lost 20 lbs! I told Jason cuz I was so excited! Yesterday he went shopping for shoes and came home with a card and a $50 iTunes card for some new music for my iPod as a congratulations for hitting this mark. I almost cried :D

So I go walking about 3 times a week or more if the weather agrees and would like to fill my iPod up. I'm asking for help from all the wonderful Spark People out there. I'm drawing BIG blanks for songs to buy so I want YOU GUYS to leave a comment of your favorite upbeat song. Fill my iPod up! I like almost every type of music (besides techno and like death metal screamy stuff lol)

Go go guys! Tell me your favorite happy songs!

That is so sweet - I love it! And huge congrats on the weight loss!

I like happy, upbeat songs when I'm working out. I have a few grit-my-teeth angry songs for when I really want to push, but for most of the time I love something with a good beat and bounce that makes me smile. Katy Perry is good for that (Firework is one of my energy reserve songs), along with Pink (Raise your Glass) and some Lady Gaga. My guilty pleasure is Shiny Toy Guns version of Major Tom, which is all sorts of stupid dance remake, but something about it just gets me going if I'm lagging.

There's a certain Richard Simmons DVD that has "Jailhouse Rock" on it, complete with "Elvis". At a certain point, all the exercisers join to doing "The Twist" to the music (many of you are gonna be too young to recognize either "Jailhouse rock" or "The Twist", but it's def some good cardio, and fun, too!

On a spiritual vein, I love "Shout to the Lord", because I do an energetic version of it in sign language while listening - lots of arm movement:)

Yahoo! Congrats on the weight loss AND the lovely reward!!

All right, I have four favourite upbeat songs right now for when I'm working out. "More" remix by Usher, "Hey Baby" by Pitbull, "Only Girl in the World" by Rhianna, and "Born This Way" by Lady Gaga. My guilty pleasures... LOL!
